When Life Hurts…Prayer Helps!

Here at Envoy we believe in the power of prayer. Because of this, we seek God’s guidance and direction through prayer in all that we do as a church and in all aspects of our daily lives. You are not alone in your situation! The staff, elders, and Prayer Team at Envoy are always available to call on God for those in need. Please share your requests with us so that we can stand alongside you in prayer. If you need some additional support, let us know so we can help you get connected with others here at Envoy who understand your struggle and can offer hope.

If you need prayer, please share the prayer request form on this page.

You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!

Could you all continue to pray for my sister? The biopsy results came back and one tumor is cancerous and the cancer spread to one of her lymph nodes. My sister is taking things as best as she can, but my mom is shook and trying to keep it together. We're just trying to keep it together. Please pray for her and all of us. Thank you all for your prayers.

Thank you so much for your prayers! God has been at work and Monday's theme was Peace (like overwhelming so & I am very grateful and convinced that had lots to do with your prayers). I came home Saturday. Pain seems to be better under control. Dad has remained in bed at night for 4 nights in a row.

We would still like to see him get the most out of Physical Therapy, but the groundwork for that progress is in place. Maybe eating better, but appetite has been a concern that I'm hoping will improve. I'm also seeing glimpses of his determination (insert dance emoji here) and that is paramount for doing the best he can.

Here's a little plug for the Women of Envoy Prayer Sisters for you ladies if you don't have one yet. The church introduced my to a new friend to pray with and that has been great! Find it on the Church Center App under Events (see bottom tool bar). Then scroll down & it's the 2nd image from the bottom. I'm sure they would love to connect you via a phone call if you can't find it or don't have the app.

On Thursday 1/30/25, John Williamson (president of Piper Electric; the company that I work for) lost his daughter to cancer. She was 39 years old and had a couple of kids. From what I understand, it was fairly sudden, with her being diagnosed about 3 months ago. John also lost his wife to cancer about 4-5 years ago.

Please pray that God would bring comfort and strength to the Williamson family.

Dad now in a skilled facility. Correct assessment of his pain level and a good pain management system that balances cognition and pain level still needed (add accurate evaluation of agitation to that list). Both are needed to benefit from therapy. And that has been tricky so far. It’s been a real blessing to have some of his caregivers that know him as their high school superintendent. Bright spot for him & me. I really like the song “Just haven’t seen it yet” & one of the nurses had it playing at their station today.

His state has very strict “no bed rails” laws. Mr. Bionic man thinks he can just get up at night to take care of whatever is bothering him & quickly. Big fall risk in every sense of the word. His understanding of a call light has been practically nonexistent at night and extremely loose in the day as well. I’ve been “sleeping” in his recliner & will do so tonight. But getting him weaned off of expecting care from me. Driving home tomorrow. I’d say prayers are appreciated exactly as you feel prompted to pray. Thanks!

Please keep my co-worker, Luke Sandrige in prayer. 10 years ago he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and the doctors wanted to remove his thyroid to prevent a recurrence. He opted not to, because he and his wife were trying to have a baby. Recently the cancer has reappeared, and he is scheduled for surgery on February 19th. At this point, the doctors don't know how far the cancer has progressed, and won't know until after the surgery..

Thank you.

Hi everyone. I forgot to share a praise report to our gracious God. I received the results of my generic testing and I am negative for the mutant gene. So all I need is a simple lumpectomy. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!! Please pray the Holy Spirit goes before me and prepares and softens the hearts of my family members and gives me discernment and boldness and sensitivity on what to say and when to share about Jesus and Christianity. Thank you!!! Debbie

Thank you all so very much for all the prayers as I walk this cancer journey. I will be having surgery this Monday, February 3rd at Memorial North at 11:00 a.m. As I've said many times in the last couple days, I have the complete peace of God with regard to this surgery. It's all going to be ok. They'll cut out the cancer, stitch me up and send me to my sisters to recover. I am, I'll admit, a bit more concerned about chemo but that's down the road for now. God is good. God did not give me the cancer but He allowed it for a specific reason that He only knows. I may not know that reason but I trust Him. What satan means for evil, God will use for good. I have prayed that as long as I'm going through this, God will use this time and experience and be glorified. That good will come out of this experience. My sister who will take care of me is a wonderful person however, she is a non-believer. I need prayers to be a witness to her. Perhaps we'll even be able to talk about the hope that lives in me. Also for another non-believing family member who is struggling with cancer and who says we are "sisters and brothers together in cancer" may come to a saving relationship with Jesus. Wouldn't that be wonderful!!! Then he could be a witness to his non-believing family. I need prayers for discernment and boldness and sensitivity and to be a faithful witness. Thank you all so much!!! Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!!! Debbie
